These Terms govern your use of SOKORIDER. By creating an account you agree to be bound by them.
1. The service
SOKORIDER is a marketplace that connects customers with independent verified riders for the delivery of legal packages within Ghana. We do not own vehicles or employ riders directly.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information. Riders must complete KYC (Ghana Card, licence, bike details) before accepting deliveries.
3. Bookings & payments
- Fares are quoted before booking using our published pricing model (base + distance + weight + surge + urgency).
- Payment methods: Mobile Money (MoMo), card via Paystack, or cash to the rider on delivery.
- A platform commission (currently 15%) is deducted from the rider's earnings to operate the service.
4. Prohibited items
You may not request delivery of: illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, live animals, hazardous materials, perishable food without appropriate packaging, currency above GHS 1,000, or any item prohibited by Ghanaian law.
5. Liability
SOKORIDER is not the merchant of record for the goods carried. Our liability for lost or damaged packages is capped at GHS 500 per delivery unless additional insurance is purchased. Disputes must be opened in-app within 24 hours of delivery.
6. User conduct
You agree not to harass riders or customers, defraud the platform, manipulate ratings, or use the service for illegal purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the account at any time. Outstanding wallet balances will be settled within 14 business days subject to anti-fraud checks.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Accra.
